The Zou Sangnaupang Pawlpi (ZSP), General Headquarters strongly condemns in the strongest possible terms the brutal ambush and cold-blooded killing of esteemed church leaders from the Thadou Baptist Association, India, carried out by suspected militants from the ZUF - Kamsom faction and their cohorts.
This heinous act occurred on the morning of 13th May 2026, between Kotjim and Veitum/L. Jangnomphai in Kangpokpi District, as the leaders were returning from Churachandpur after attending important church-associated events. Such cowardly violence against peaceful religious figures traveling for spiritual duties is not only a grave assault on human life but also a direct attack on our shared values of faith, community harmony, and peaceful coexistence.
We mourn the loss of these dedicated servants of God and extend our deepest condolences to their families, the Thadou Baptist Association, and the wider Christian community. This tragedy demands immediate justice, and we call upon the relevant authorities to swiftly investigate, apprehend the perpetrators, and ensure they face the full force of the law.

ZSP-GHQ stands in full solidarity with the shutdown called by the Kuki Students' Organisation in response to this outrage. We urge all right-thinking members of the public to support and cooperate with this shutdown, demonstrating our collective resolve against such barbarism. Let this be a united front for peace and accountability.
