The Zou Sangnaupang Pawlpi (ZSP), General Headquarters successfully conducted the ZSP Meritorious Award Distribution – 2026 on 27th June, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Zogal Hall, Zoveng, Zenhang Lamka.
The programme was organized to honour and recognize meritorious students for their outstanding academic achievements and to encourage the younger generation to strive for excellence.
The programme was gracefully compered by Mr. Joel G Taithul, Secretary (Organisation), ZSP GHQ, who also led the gathering in the singing of the ZSP Anthem.
The programme commenced with an Opening Prayer offered by Upa Nangkhanlal, Zomi Colony, invoking God's blessings upon the occasion.
A Welcome Address was delivered by T. Lamkholian, Joint Secretary, ZSP GHQ, warmly welcoming the distinguished guests, awardees, parents, donors and all attendees.
Flower Tribute was led by Pu M. Hauminthang, Adviser, ZSP GHQ, as a mark of respect and remembrance of great leaders who had passed away.
The audience was then blessed with a Special Number presented by Chiindeiniang, which added grace and inspiration to the programme.
The gathering was addressed by Khamsuanpao, President, ZSP GHQ, who highlighted the importance of education, discipline, and perseverance in shaping the future of the Zou community.
The programme was also honoured by the presence of the VVIP- Pu Lawrence K. Munluo, Addl. SP, Churachandpur, who delivered an inspiring message, encouraging students to pursue excellence with determination, integrity, and dedication. He emphasized that the present era is driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern technology, and urged the students to remain aware of these emerging trends and adopt scientific and technological advancements for personal growth and the development of society. He also advised the gathering to use mobile phones and social media responsibly, stressing that these platforms should be utilized positively and ethically without posting or sharing content that could hurt or disturb the sentiments of others. He also remarked that the mementoes should not merely be displayed on walls or kept as souvenirs. Rather, they should serve as stepping stones toward greater achievements, inspiring the recipients to strive for higher goals and continued success.
The ZSP Meritorious Award Distribution, conducted by Mr. Solomon Manglianmung, General Secretary, ZSP GHQ, and P. Lianhaulal, Education Secretary, ZSP GHQ. A sum of Rupees 5000/- (Five Thousand) and Mementos were presented to deserving students in recognition of their exceptional academic performances.

A Blessing Prayer was offered by Rev. Dr. SK Manlun, DS, MELC, Lamka West, seeking God's continued guidance and blessings upon the students and the organization.
The programme also featured Motivational Speeches from representatives of UZO, ZYO, ZOWA, and ZLS, who encouraged the awardees to remain committed to their educational pursuits and to become responsible leaders of society. In the meantime, Miss Chiindeiniang presented a special number with her melodious voice and refreshments were served to all.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Thanglunlal Zou, Vice President (Administration), ZSP GHQ, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the VVIP, UZO, ZYO, ZOWA, ZLS, Media Team, Sounds and Decoration team, Donors , sponsors team, volunteers, and everyone whose contributions ensured the success of the programme.
The programme concluded with a Closing Prayer led by Upa Rejoice Mangkhanlien, New Zoveng.
The ZSP Meritorious Award Distribution – 2026 concluded successfully in a spirit of unity, encouragement, and appreciation, reaffirming ZSP's commitment to promoting educational excellence among the Zou community.
